Geocaching: The game of using multi-million dollar satellites to find hidden Tupperware in the woods.

An old coworker of mine first introduced me to geocaching back in 2014. She told me about one that was hidden just outside of the office and happened to be a personal favorite of hers. The geocache in question was a 3 foot piece of PVC pipe attached to a chainlink fence. The pipe was painted silver and had a screw drilled through the middle of it. When the screw was removed, a 35mm film canister containing swag would drop out. From that point forward, I was hooked.

Swag.

If you haven’t heard of geocaching before, here’s a quick 2 minute video to get you up to speed:

There’s thousands of geocaches across the North State and Butte County happens to be home to hundreds of them. Download the app today and get out there to explore, your next adventure might be closer than you think.

(P.S. Here’s the link to one that I hid myself, I think you’ll like it)

(P.P.S I just noticed it's Groundhog Day! We're all watching the 1993 Bill Murray classic later today, am I right or am I right?)

Question of The Month:

Who has the BEST burrito in the North State? Now I fully suspect this one will cause some heated debates, but in my humble opinion, out of all of the burritos that I’ve personally tried, the absolute best burrito in the North State, is at 🥁 🥁 🥁

Antonio’s Quick Lunch ( 716 Colusa Ave, Yuba City).

The “Garbage Burrito” is far from 🗑

The laid back atmosphere, the perfectly seasoned meat, the exact bean to rice ratio, all of these factors make Antonio’s my pick for the best burrito in the North State.

But, I’m open to change! Weigh in below with your suggestion, and you might see it in an upcoming issue of Good News: North State!

Thanks for reading the first issue of Good News: North State! I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope to see you out there in the community. If you have some good news that you would like to see covered, or just have some feedback to share, i’m all ears. Until next week.
